WOO
Don't have a convEGGtor. The Woo skips the convEGGtor and uses large 16″ half-moon deflectors instead—giving you better airflow and more flexibility. It’s ideal if most of your cooking happens at the felt line. Add a sliding second level when you need extra space.
convEGGtor vs. half-moons deflectors - easy choice, half-moons!
PSWOO
Best Choice for Simple, No-Change Setup
The PSWoo is designed for convEGGtor owners who want an easier, more functional setup—without changing how they cook. It raises your grid to the felt line and gives you better access to the fire while keeping your existing indirect setup.
Happy with the convEGGtor, pick PSWOO.
ADJUSTABLE RIG
Most Capable - Maximum Flexibility & Capacity
If you want to cook more food at once and control every level of your cook, the Rig is where things open up. It delivers true multi-level cooking with unmatched adjustability—giving you the space and control to do more in a single cook.
Built for more than just the typical cook!

Answers to Common Questions
FAQs Section
What is the most basic setup you recommend starting with?
If you want to keep it simple and avoid unnecessary cost:
- Already have a convEGGtor? → Go with the PSWoo
- No deflector and not sure if kamado cooking is for you? → Start with the Woo + half-moons
- No deflector and you’re all-in on kamado cooking? → Go straight to the Adjustable Rig
All of our systems are buildable, so you can always add to them later.
Which rack system should I choose?
It comes down to how you cook:
- PSWoo → Simple, everyday setup for convEGGtor users
- Woo → More flexibility, better two-zone setups, and cooking at the felt line
- Adjustable Rig → Maximum control, capacity, and true multi-level cooking
If you're unsure, start simple.
👉 Most customers naturally move to the Adjustable Rig over time as they want to do more.
Do I need a convEGGtor or can I use half-moon deflectors?
We generally don’t recommend convEGGtor, as it is a single-purpose tool—in or out.
Half-moon deflectors give you more flexibility and work across multiple setups:
- convEGGtor → simple, all-in-one indirect setup
- half-moons → two-zone cooking, adjustable heat, easier access
It’s very common for convEGGtor owners to switch to half-moons when their convEGGGtor breaks.
Can I still grill direct with these systems?
Yes—all of our rack systems fully support direct grilling.
You can:
- Raise the grid to the felt line for easier everyday grilling
- Lower closer to the fire for searing
These systems don’t limit you—they give you more options.
Will this make my EGG easier to use?
Yes—that’s the goal.
Our systems:
- Raise the cooking grid to a more comfortable height
- Make it easier to access your food and the fire
- Give you better control over heat and setup
Once you use one, it’s hard to go back to cooking on the fire ring.
The Adjustable Rig looks cool—but is it more than I need?
The beauty of the Rig is it can be as simple or advanced as you want.
Start simple:
- Rig in + grid → direct grilling
- Rig in + deflectors + grid → indirect BBQ
Where the Rig stands out is what it lets you do next.
As you gain experience, most customers naturally expand into:
- Multi-level cooking
- More precise heat control
- Higher capacity cooks
Even something simple like 1½-level grilling becomes a go-to.
Can I upgrade later or do I need to decide everything now?
Our systems are designed to grow with you.
Start simple and add pieces as your cooking style evolves—no need to fully commit on day one.
Why choose CGS over the EGGspander?
We design our systems as end users—not just to look good, but to work better.
Everything we build has to answer a few simple questions:
- Does it solve a real problem?
- Does it expand what you can do?
- Is it practical—or just a gimmick?
- How does it store?
- Can we price it fairly?
We’ve been building rack systems in the USA for over 20 years—and it shows in the details.
