Original Accessory Ring, Spider 1.0
For a limited time, we'll continue to offer our original Spider (no handles). If you have a very old EGG with the five shallow dimples atop the fire ring, pick five-leg. For all others pick three-leg.

BIG NEWS: Late August a new Spider is coming. One with Handles to manage grids, deflectors and such much easier.
Sear close to the fire, set a wok, go half-moon deflector under the EGG grid or elevate a pizza stone above the ConvEGGtor.
The Spider is a multi-tasker that can be used with the Large Adjustable Rig or combined with other accessories for new cooking experiences. Note: 3 & 5 Leg Spiders are specifically for the Large Big Green EGG.
Pick 3 Leg if the top of your EGG's fire ring is smooth (current style) or has the 3 convEGGtor notches (older style).
Pick 5 Leg if the fire ring has 5 shallow dimples (original, very old style)
Popular ways to set-up the Spider
CGS 14.5" heavy duty stainless grid, sear close to the fire.
13" cast iron grid, sear close the fire.
CGS 15" Half-Moon Stone, two zone grilling. Note, a pair 15" half-moons will not fit.
Elevate the pizza stone above the ConvEGGtor. Must be 3 Leg.
Set-up indirect for big BBQ cooks on Rig, Go 13" or 14" Heat Deflector.
Hold a CGS 16" wok down inside the fire ring.
Go up with the 16" wok. Most folks prefer up.
Elevate hot objects off the table.

Specs:
Fabricated using 1/4" 304 Stainless Steel Round Bar. Tig welds for added strength. Ring OD is approximately 11.75". Legs drop approximately 1.5". USA made exclusively by Ceramic Grill Store in our wire fabrication shop.
What's with the Spider Name:
Back in the early 2000s when we first fabricated the multi-leg ring, we put it legs down on the table. It reminded us of a Daddy Long Legs Spider. So, we named it..... Spider!
