How to Identify Your Primo Oval Size

If you've owned your Primo for years, bought it used, or simply aren't sure whether you have a Junior, Large, XL, or XXL, your stock cooking grid is one of the easiest ways to identify your grill.

It only takes a quick measurement to find your Primo Oval Grill size.

Remove one of the D-shaped cooking grids and measure outside-to-outside across the straight edge. Then compare your measurement to the chart below.

How to measure the straight edge of a Primo Oval cooking grid to identify Junior, Large, XL or XXL grill size

Primo Flat-Edge Shop
Junior ~ 13-1/2" Junior Accessories →
Large ~ 15-3/4" Large Accessories →
XL ~ 18-1/2" XL Accessories →
XXL ~ 20" XXL Accessories →

The measurement need not be an exact match but should be within a 1/4". This should work for the various cooking grids Primo made over the years.

How to Measure: Measure the straight edge of one stock D-shaped cooking grid from outside edge to outside edge. Do not measure along the curved edge or across the ceramic grill body. Measurements are approximate.

Note: Primo no longer officially uses the 200, 300, 400 and 500 model identifiers for its Oval grills. Current model names are Junior, Large, XL and XXL.
