Description
Raised Grid and Multi-Level Cooking System for the Small Big Green Egg
Unlock BBQ, two-zone grilling, and pizza on the Small Big Green Egg. Pair the CGS Woo with 10" or 12" deflectors for maximum versatility and professional results.

Note: This Expander only fits the Small Big Green Egg. It does not fit other kamado grills.
Grilling on a Raised Grid
The Expander raises the Small Egg's cooking grid near the felt line (base top) for direct grilling on a raised grid. It's approximately 2-3/4 inches above the fire ring.
Multiple Deflector Setups
For long BBQ indirect cooks, add CGS 10-inch full or half-moon heat deflectors and a 10-inch Stainless Drip Pan.
If you want wider coverage, go with a pair of Big Green Egg 12-inch half-moon deflectors and 11-inch or smaller drip pan

For two-zone grilling (direct and indirect), go with one 10-inch half-moon deflector or Big Green Egg's 12-Inch Half-Moon Heat Deflector (#127273) on the lower ring. The 12-inch will provided wider indirect coverage.

Popular Add-On: Sliding Second Grid
Add even more cooking space with our Sliding Second Grid Bundle, designed specifically to work with the Small Big Green Egg Expander (CGS Woo).
The sliding grid rests on an Extender that slips over the Woo handles, creating a stable upper level that slides front to back for easy access to food below.

Handles for Easy In & Out
Handles make it easy to lift the Expander in and out of the Small Egg. The Expander with handles only works with the 13-inch cooking grid that came with your Small Egg.
Pizza
Use two deflector stones for pizza. Best to place both on the cooking grid to get higher in the grill. CGS Ceramic Spacers are ideal for increasing height and creating an air gap between stones. Best to keep the deflectors the same diameter.
Expander Fit Notes & Specs
Important:
- Egg's ConvEGGtor does not fit the Expander. Folks prefer the 10-inch deflector stone, as it is easier to handle.
- Egg's small 13-inch cast iron grid does not fit the Expander with handles. We do not recommend raising cast iron grids or griddles—cast iron performs best close to the fire.
- The Expander is not recommended for wokking. Check out our Small Spider for that.
The Expander raises the cooking grid approximately 2.75 inches above the fire ring. Round accessories from 8.5" to 11.5" will fit inside the Expander.
The Expander is fabricated with 1/4-inch diameter, 304 grade Stainless Steel. Made in the USA by Ceramic Grill Store, in our wire fabrication shop.
