Description
Mini Deflector Bundle creates more flexibility with the Mini Big Green EGG.
Note: The Expander only fits the Mini Big Green EGG. It does not fit other kamado grills. Stone and grid sold separately.
Important - Before Ordering Check
Over the years, Big Green EGG has offered several different sizes and types over Mini cooking grid. To use the Woo, you need the current Mini Big Green EGG cooking grid. Please verify the details in steps 1 and 2. Call us if you need assistance.
1. Grid Diameter: The current Mini grid is 10 inches in diameter. Check your grid to make sure it is 10 inches. We carry the current 10-inch grid, if you need one.
2. Grid Center Supports: The current 10-inch grid has the two center support wires cut flush at the last crosswires. Note, the picture below where the arrows point to a clean cut on the two parallel support wires. Your Grid needs to look like this.

It is possible that your Mini grid is 10 inches but the two parallel support wires run past the outer grid wires, see below. The Woo won't fit this grid - you'll need to get the most current grid.

Maximize the Mini EGG's Grilling Area:
Make full use of the 10-inch grilling grid by raising it off the fire ring. The Expander raises the grid approximately 1.3 inches, a smidge above the base's felt rim. It's the perfect way to control temperature while grilling.

Add a heat deflector to the Mini EGG:
The majority of cooks folks do on the Mini EGG is direct grilling. If you have a specialty cook that requires an indirect set-up, it it is easy to do by adding a heat deflector. In-house, we cut an 8-sided stone for maximum protection. The stone sits atop the Expander's rectangular base.

Setting the Expander in the Mini EGG:
As pictured below,, the Mini Expander rectangular base sits on the flat, top section of the fire ring. The Expander does not sit in the four notches atop the fire ring.
Note: Handles can't be added to the Mini Woo.
