Three Ways to Control Airflow From the Top of Your Kamado Joe
Replace a worn, damaged, or flaking top vent with the genuine Kamado Joe Kontrol Tower Top Vent. Its heavy-duty cast aluminum design gives you precise, reliable temperature control without losing your settings every time you open the grill dome.
The lower base remains securely seated on the grill's ceramic chimney while the adjustable upper vent section handles airflow control. Depending on your cook, you can rotate the vent, slide the upper assembly open, or remove the upper section completely.
Three Airflow Settings in One Top Vent
- Rotate for fine airflow control: Turn the upper vent section to adjust the side openings for precise exhaust management. The covered top design protects against rain during inclement weather and stays set when you open the dome.
- Slide the top open or closed: Move the upper vent assembly as one unit to create a larger vertical exhaust opening for medium-to-high temperature cooking.
- Remove the upper vent completely: Lift off the upper section to leave the chimney wide open during startup or extreme high-heat searing for maximum airflow and fast temperature response.
During all operations, the lower base stays seated on the ceramic chimney, allowing you to dial in temperature without shifting the entire housing.
