Stone and Drip Pan Recommendations
Use these recommendations to choose the best deflector or pizza stone setup for your Medium EGG accessories.Drip Pan Recommendation: The CGS 14" Round Stainless Drip Pan is recommended for the CGS Medium Woo and Medium EGGspander setups. The convEGGtor uses a CGS 12" drip pan.
Pizza Setup
Best choice: 12" Full Round Stone
Use above the CGS Woo, EGGspander, or convEGGtor. Add CGS ceramic spacers to create an air gap under the pizza stone.
- Other usable sizes: 10" or 13"
CGS Medium Spider
Best choice: 10" Full Round Stone
The 10" full round stone is the preferred deflector option for the CGS Medium 3-leg or 5-leg Spider. No need for a drip pan.
CGS Medium Woo
Best choice: Two 14" Half-Moon Deflectors
The Medium Woo works with several stone options, but a pair of 14" half-moons gives the best flexibility.
- Other options: 12" or 13" half-moons
Big Green EGG EGGspander
Best choice: Two 12" Half-Moon Deflectors
For the Medium EGGspander, a pair of 12" half-moon stones is the preferred setup. 14" may sit to close to the top of the fire ring, creating a cap.
