Product Description
Versatile Accessory Ring for Deflectors, Wok Cooking & Pizza on the Small Big Green Egg
The CGS Spider for the Small Big Green Egg expands your grill’s capability with a compact, heavy-duty 3 or 4 leg support ring.
Use it to:
- hold a 10" half-moon or full round ceramic heat deflector under the grid
- support a 12" wok closer to the fire, or
- elevate a 10" pizza stone above the ConvEGGtor
Note: The Small Spider only fits the Small Big Green Egg. It does not fit other kamado grills.
Run a Deflector Under the Cooking Grid
Position the Spider inside the fire ring to support a 10" half-moon or full round heat deflector below the cooking grid. This setup creates true indirect capability while maintaining proper airflow inside the dome.

Wok Cooking
Flip the Spider up or down to cradle a wok for hot and fast Asian cooks. The 12" wok is the recommended size for proper fit and heat concentration in the Small Big Green Egg.

Pizza Setup
Invert the Spider (legs down) and set it atop the Big Green Egg Small ConvEGGtor to elevate a 10" pizza stone. Raising the stone creates an air gap that improves heat circulation and helps prevent over-browning on the bottom crust.
Choosing 3-Leg or 4-Leg
Check your fire ring before ordering. The fire ring is the ceramic piece that sits atop the firebox.
- 3-Leg Spider: For fire rings with 3 ConvEGGtor notches.
- 3-Leg Spider: For smooth fire rings with no notches or dimples.
- 4-Leg Spider: For fire rings with 4 shallow dimples along the top edge.
Important: Measure across the top of the fire ring to confirm:
- Inside diameter of fire ring is at least 11 inches
- Inside diameter of the Egg is at least 13-5/8 inches
Hold Hot Accessories
The Small Spider also works as a stable support stand for hot accessories. Use it to elevate a ConvEGGtor, deflector, or grid off your table or work surface after a cook.
Construction & Specs
The Small Spider supports 8–10 inch diameter accessories. It drops approximately 1.125 to 1.75 inches into the fire ring depending on positioning - in our out of fire ring notches.
