Add More Space with a 2nd Cooking Grid

The CGS Sliding Second Grid Bundle adds a functional second cooking level to your Small Big Green Egg, giving you more usable space without crowding your main grid.

Important

This bundle requires the current CGS Woo as a base.

How the Sliding 2nd Grid Works

The bundle uses two components to create a stable second cooking level while keeping the lower grid accessible.

Extender

The Extender creates 3.25" of spacing between the lower and upper cooking grids. Its lower ring slides over the Woo handles and rests directly on the main Egg cooking grid.

10" Sliding Grid

The upper grid rests on the Extender and slides smoothly front to back for easy access to the lower grid.

  • 10" x 8" cooking surface
  • Grid slides along the Extender rails
  • Two hooks secure the grid when pushed back
  • Closing the dome returns the grid to the forward position

Why Add a Second Cooking Level?

  • More cooking space: Add a 10" x 8" upper grid without replacing the main cooking grid
  • Easy lower-grid access: Slide the upper grid back instead of removing it
  • Useful vertical spacing: 3.25" between the two cooking levels
  • Easy on and off: The Extender slips over the Woo handles and rests on the lower grid
  • Works with indirect setups: The second level does not interfere with CGS half-moon deflectors below

Important Fit & Compatibility

The Sliding Second Grid Bundle is designed for the current CGS Small Woo. Before ordering, check the handle style and outside diameter of your Woo's upper ring.

  • Current Woo: Straight handles welded to the inside of the upper ring
  • Woo's upper ring diameter: Approximately 12.25" outside diameter
  • Main cooking grid: Requires the current 13" Small Big Green Egg cooking grid

The bundle installs directly over the current Woo handles and rests on the lower cooking grid.
