15" Deflector Plates for Primo's Deflector Rack
Unlock more cooking flexibility in your Primo Large Round Kamado with CGS 15" ceramic deflector plates.
Best paired with: Primo Deflector Rack PG00331. The rack holds the ceramic deflectors below the cooking grid for indirect cooking. We stock them.
The half-moon option gives you the most flexibility for low and slow barbeque and two-zone grilling.
Ceramic deflectors help turn direct fire into steady indirect heat. That makes it easier to cook ribs, pork shoulders, brisket, chicken and other longer cooks without placing food directly over the flame.
For grilling, the half-moon setup lets you sear over direct heat on one side while using the deflector side as a cooler zone for finishing, holding or managing flare-ups.

Care Tips
- Preheat gradually with the grill.
- Use foil or a drip pan to help protect the ceramic from drippings.
- Do not oil the ceramic.
- Do not use soap or detergents.
- Do not clean in a dishwasher.
- Scrape or brush residue as needed after cooling.
- Avoid aggressive high-heat clean burns.
- Natural smoke darkening is normal.

Do I need the Primo Deflector Rack?
Yes. The Primo Deflector Rack PG00331 holds the ceramic deflectors below the cooking grid. The rack is sold separately.
Are both half-moons required for barbeque?
yes, For full indirect barbeque, use both half-moon deflectors.
Can I use one half-moon for grilling?
Yes. One half-moon creates a direct side and an indirect side, making it easier to manage heat and move food away from direct flame.
Should I use a drip pan?
Yes, especially for greasy barbeque cooks. Ceramic is porous by nature, so a drip pan or foil helps protect the deflector surface.
