The Junior offers more primary cooking space than the Medium Big Green EGG, Big Green EGG MiniMax, and Kamado Joe Junior. Its elongated oval cooking area also provides room for whole chickens, racks of ribs, and longer cuts of meat that can be difficult to arrange on smaller round kamados.

Primo's oval design provides flexibility for direct grilling, indirect barbeque, roasting, baking, and two-zone cooking. Grill directly over charcoal on one side while cooking indirectly on the other, or configure the entire cooking area for low-and-slow smoking using compatible ceramic heat deflectors.

Choose the Right Primo Oval Junior Package

The Primo Oval Junior is available as a standalone grill head or a complete All-In-One package. You can also configure the Junior with the optional Primo GO portable carrier system for tailgating, camping, and other outdoor activities.

Standalone Grill Head (PGCJRH): This is the Primo Oval Junior without a stand or cradle. Ideal for custom grill tables, outdoor kitchens, and customers building a personalized setup. Remember to include ceramic feet for proper clearance when installing in a table or built-in application.

All-In-One Package (PGCJRC): Combines the Primo Junior grill with a cradle stand, side shelves, and factory accessories for a convenient freestanding setup.

Custom CGS Packages: Pair the Junior with compatible ceramic deflectors, deflector racks, charcoal accessories, and other cooking essentials based on how you plan to grill, smoke, and roast.

Understanding Package Differences: Not every Primo Junior configuration includes the same accessories. Ceramic heat deflectors, deflector racks, portable carriers, and other upgrades may be sold separately depending on the selected package.

Primo GO Portable Carrier & Base

The Primo GO Cradle and GO Base turn the Oval Junior into a portable ceramic grill system for tailgating, camping, RV trips, and outdoor gatherings. The cradle provides sturdy carrying handles, while the optional GO Base creates a freestanding setup that folds for transportation and storage.

With 210 square inches of cooking space, the Junior offers considerably more room than many smaller portable ceramic grills while retaining the temperature control and heat retention of a traditional kamado.

Important: The Primo GO Cradle and GO Base are optional accessories sold separately unless included in a selected package. The Junior grill head weighs approximately 100 lbs, so plan on two people for safe lifting and transportation.
