Product Description
Lower Ceramic Firebox for the Kamado Joe Jr.
Replace a cracked, broken, or damaged firebox with a genuine Kamado Joe Jr. replacement ceramic firebox.
The firebox sits in the lower body of the Joe Jr., surrounding the charcoal fire and supporting the ceramic fire ring above it.
The opening in the front of the firebox aligns with the grill's lower draft door, allowing incoming air to flow into the charcoal chamber and feed the fire.
Unlike the multi-piece AMP FireBox used in larger Kamado Joe models, the Joe Jr. uses a single-piece ceramic firebox with a separate ceramic fire ring positioned directly on top.
The image below shows the Joe Jr. firebox sitting directly under fire ring. The fire ring is not included.

When Should You Replace the Firebox?
Hairline cracks in ceramic components do not always prevent the grill from operating normally. Replacement becomes more important when the firebox is badly cracked, broken, missing a section, or can no longer securely support the fire ring.
Damage around the lower air-intake opening or upper supporting edge can also affect how the firebox fits and how the fire ring sits above it.
How the Joe Jr. Firebox Fits
Set the ceramic firebox into the lower body of the Joe Jr. with the large opening aligned with the grill's lower draft door. This keeps the airflow path open from the lower vent into the charcoal chamber.
Once the firebox is properly seated, place the separate ceramic fire ring evenly on top to complete the Joe Jr. interior ceramic assembly.
