Add a Second Cooking Level to Your 2XL
If you want to fully utilize the massive dome space of the 2XL, the CGS 2XL Flexible Second Grid adds another level of capacity and control—without complicating your setup.
Designed to sit directly on the 2XL cooking grid, it works seamlessly with the CGS Woo Expander and the Big Green Egg 2XL Basket. The grid is engineered to snug the 2XL handles, ensuring it stays perfectly positioned even during heavy cooks.
- 24" Diameter Surface: Split into two half-sections for maximum control.
- Removable Front Grid: Easy access to the lower level for staging and flipping.
- Versatile Configuration: Run one or both grids depending on your grilling or BBQ needs.
- 5" Vertical Clearance: Ample room between grids for brisket, ribs, and pork shoulders.
Back Half-Grid for Staging
Remove the front section and use the fixed back grid as a staging area. It’s perfect for grilling/finishing cooks at lower temperatures or holding food while grilling below.
- 12" x 24" Fixed Half-Grid provides plenty of room.
- 17" Front Opening for unobstructed access to the lower grid.
- Maintains Full Airflow while maximizing usable upper space.
Full Grid for High-Capacity BBQ
When the neighborhood is coming over, add the front section to create a full 24" upper cooking surface. This effectively doubles your staging area for big brisket, ribs, or pork butt cooks.
