Just our way of saying, Thanks
For the Large Primo Oval, we offer the Primo brand deflector plate and our own, Ceramic Grill Store (CGS), deflector plates. Both deflector plates are "D" shape and same thickness. CGS Plates provide a bit more coverage as they have sharper corners vs. the Primo plates.
Primo deflector plates come two (pair) in a box. CGS plates come single or pairs. You need two plates to make a set for smoking barbeque in the Large Primo. Use one deflector plate for two zone grilling in the Primo Large.
The deflector plates block the heat as it rises from the fire. In ceramic grill circles, this is called an indirect set-up and is key to smoking barbeque or creating dual zones when grilling. Most ceramic grill manufacturers call the plates stones, setters or ConvEGGtors. Primo Grills prefers to call them as plates. Just note, plates or stones, they are one in the same.
Deflector Rack(s): Required to hold the Plate(s)
A deflector rack holds a deflector plate under the cooking grid. Two deflector racks are needed for barbeque cooks. It is possible to use one deflector rack/plate for two zone grilling. Simply, set one plate and rack under one of the cooking grids. It's a terrific way to grill at different temperatures and/or protect delicate foods from over cooking.
We offer Primo and Ceramic Grill Store racks. CGS racks provide more flexibility to access the lump and have the ability to set a wok. We can offer Plates and Racks at better prices because of our volumes. We pass the savings on to you.
Add the correct Plates to your cart in 'Select Ceramic Heat Deflector Plates for Primo Oval Grills (Pair)' dropdown menu.
