The Large Rig Extender attaches to the upper ring on the Large Adjustable Rig. It extends the Rig's work platform from 6" to 7.5" above the fire ring. It's our favorite height to grill butterfly (spatchcock) chicken, bake pizza or set-up double grids for ribs or chicken wings.

The Rig Extender is used in the chicken video to hold the 16" Sliding D Grid - top grid.  It's also used in the rib video to hold the upper 13"x17" Oval Grid.   Atop the Extender is a great place to do pizza on our 15" or 16" Stone.

The 16" Sliding D Grid slides back along the Rig Extender for easy access to a lower grid, lump, drip pan and such. Use the Stop Support as a push back guide.  To bring the D Grid forward, just close the dome.

For long meats (ribs) or bunches of small pieces (wings), the 13"x17" Oval Grid is the preferred grid atop the Extender.  The front Crossbar on the Rig Extender needs to be in place when using the Oval Grid. The Crossbar comes with the Extender.

The Rig Extender is our favorite stone position for baking pizza. The top of the pizza benefits from the reflective/convective heating off the dome. The stone is up above the felt line which minimizes any chance of burning the felt gasket. The stone is far from the lump which helps produce a consistent heating of the stone. The front Crossbar on the Extender is recommended when using a stone.

Set-Up (How to Use): Place the Large Rig Extender atop the Rig with the Extender's open end facing toward the front of the cooker. The five hooked feet slip over the Rig's upper ring. The "U" shape hook on the bottom of the Extender's back leg slips underneath the Rig's top ring and around the Rig's back vertical support rod. It's best to set the "U" shape leg first and then the other four hooked feet. This hook keeps the Extender from sliding around the Rig. The Rig Extender's front crossbar is used with the 13x17 Oval Stainless Grid or other platforms needing additional support.

The Rig Extender is a recommended piece for the Slide Guide system. Material is 304 Stainless Steel.  Made in the USA exclusively by CGS, Ceramic Grill Store.

The Spider is a single level platform that hangs inside the fire box/bowl. It's a terrific spot to sear steaks on a cast iron grid or set-up with a half/full stone under a grid. The Spider can be inverted up to wok or elevate a cast iron grid higher for better access. The Spider is paired with the adjustable rig on big cooks.

The Woo is a fixed, two level platform. The top platform (ring) raises the grill's cooking near the felt line. The bottom platform (ring or legs) holds a wok, grid or half/full stone. With handles, the Woo lifts out for easy access to the fire.

The Adjustable Rig is a multi-level platform. It's the most flexible racking system for ceramic grills. Raised, single or multi-grids are possible. Use full or half stones. Lifts out for easy access to the fire.
