The Kick Ash Can is an Easy Choice for Ash Cleanup in the Pit Boss 24
The Kick Ash Can for Pit Boss 24 makes ash cleanup simple and efficient. Designed to sit directly beneath your Kick Ash Basket, this stainless steel ash can collects loose ash so you can clean out your grill in seconds.
Before each cook, lift and shake the Basket — ash falls straight into the Can. Remove the Can, empty it into a non-flammable container, and return it to the firebowl. Your grill is ready to fire up again.
Confirm Fit – Firebowl Measurements
To ensure compatibility with your Pit Boss 24 kamado, confirm the lower firebowl opening measures:
- 7.75" to 9.5" inside diameter
- Minimum 3.25" depth
Always measure before ordering, as manufacturers occasionally make minor updates to firebowl designs.
Our Preferred Setup
For both grilling and low & slow BBQ, the Kick Ash Basket holds the lump charcoal while the Can remains in the bottom of the grill. The factory lump grate can be used strategically depending on your cooking style:
- High-Heat Grilling: Remove the lump grate to maximize airflow and reach higher temperatures faster.
- Low & Slow BBQ: Leave the lump grate in place between the Basket and Can to mimic the grill’s natural restricted airflow.
