Upgrade Your Joe Jr. with a Raised Grid and Two-Level Cooking System
The CGS Woo Expander Rack for the Kamado Joe Joe Jr raises your cooking grid near the felt line to improve airflow, reduce hot spots, and create a more versatile cooking setup.
The Expander also cradles a heat deflector in the lower ring, making indirect cooking simple while keeping the deflector stable during cooks.
Add the optional Sliding 2nd Level Grid to turn your Joe Jr into a compact two-level cooking system perfect for grilling, roasting, and smoking.

1. Raised Grid for Everyday Grilling
The top ring raises the cooking grid near the top of the base. This brings your food closer to opening (felt line) for better convection and extended grilling area.
2. Better Deflector Handling
Compatible with the stock Joe Jr ceramic heat deflector. Unlike the Kamado Joe rack, our Woo cradles the deflector so it won't slide out.
3. Half-Moon Deflector Option
Drop a CGS 10" half-moon deflector into the lower ring for true two-zone grilling (direct/indirect) on the main grid. Find these in the “Popular Add-ons” section.
4. Easy In & Out
Heavy-duty integrated handles allow you to lift the entire system with ease. The flip-up section on your stock grid remains fully functional.
Add a Sliding Second Grid Level
Transform your Junior into a two-level powerhouse. The upper 10" x 8" grid slides back for easy access to the lower level. Two components make this possible:
- The Extender: Adds ~3 inches of vertical clearance. The base ring slips over the Expander handles to stay locked in place.
- The 10" Sliding Grid: Crafted from 304 Stainless, this grid slides smoothly and is secured by hooks when pushed back for stability.
Pro Tip: Close the dome to easily slide the grid back into position!

Expander Technical Specs & Confirming Fit
- Material: 1/4" Heavy-Duty 304 Stainless Steel (Rust Resistant)
- Grid Fitment: Designed for standard 13-3/8" to 13-1/2" OD Cooking Grids
- Fire Ring Requirement: ID must be at least 11-1/4"
- Drop: Expander drops 1-3/8" into the fire ring for low-profile stability.
- Welds: Hand-crafted with clean TIG welds in Denton, Texas.

A: No. This is specifically engineered for the Joe Junior.
Q: Can I use the deflector that came with my Junior?
A: Yes, the 10-inch Kamado Joe round deflector fits perfectly.
Q: Are handles required to use the Sliding Grid system?
A: Yes. The handles on the CGS Expander act as the structural anchors for the Extender.
Q: Does the 2-Grid System fit the stock rack that came with the Joe Jr.?
A: No. The CGS Extender requires the CGS Expander handles to stay securely positioned.
