The rotisserie is available in two sizes. Select the version designed for your Egg, as the Large and XL kits are not interchangeable.

What Can You Cook on a Rotisserie?

The steady rotation makes the rotisserie especially useful for foods that benefit from even heat exposure and continuous movement during cooking.

• Turkey: A great option for holiday cooking, with 14- to 18-pound birds recommended for best results when the setup provides adequate clearance.

Two-Zone Rotisserie Cooking with CGS Accessories

For more control over the fire, pair your rotisserie with a CGS Spider and one half-moon ceramic heat deflector. This creates a two-zone cooking arrangement with direct heat on one side and indirect heat on the other.

As the food rotates, it repeatedly moves between the direct and indirect sides, helping manage heat exposure throughout the cook.

We recommend placing the half-moon deflector toward the front of the Egg. This creates a cooler working area when checking or handling food, rather than reaching directly over the charcoal.

Large Big Green Egg – Spider & 15-Inch Deflector

For the Large Big Green Egg, pair any of the compatible Large CGS Spiders with one CGS 15-inch Half-Moon Ceramic Deflector.

Position the deflector toward the front of the Egg to create an indirect working area while leaving the opposite side open to the charcoal.

XL Big Green Egg – Spider & 18-Inch Deflector

For the XL Big Green Egg, pair any of the compatible XL CGS Spiders with one CGS 18-inch Half-Moon Ceramic Deflector.

Place the deflector toward the front of the Egg, creating a cooler indirect area for working with the rotisserie while leaving the rear portion open to direct charcoal heat.

Note: The CGS Spider and half-moon deflector are optional accessories for creating a two-zone rotisserie setup. They are not required for basic rotisserie cooking.
