Product Description
Control Radiant Heat In and Around Your Kamado
Our Ceramic Spacers are simple, heavy-duty utility pieces for managing air gaps, heat transfer, and vertical clearance inside your kamado grill. Cast from the same high-heat refractory ceramic material used in our premium heat deflectors, these kiln-fired spacers are built to handle kamado cooking temperatures.
Sold as a set of three (3), these handy risers make it easy to create spacing exactly where you need it — under pizza stones, drip pans and more.
Three Essential Uses for Every Kamado
1. Raise Your Pizza Stone
Use ceramic spacers to lift your pizza stone above an indirect heat deflector, plate setter, or ceramic stone. The air gap helps reduce the radiant heat coming off the lower deflector, giving you better temperature control with the pizza stone.

2. Burnt Drippings in the Pan
Place your stainless drip pan on ceramic spacers instead of directly on a deflector. The added air gap helps reduce direct heat transfer from the deflector to the pan, which can help lower the pan temperature on low and slow cooks.

3. Protect Outdoor Work Surfaces
Use ceramic spacers outside the grill when setting down hot deflectors, pizza stones, or cast iron grids. They help keep hot ceramic and metal pieces elevated above wood tables, decking, prep stations, and other stone or granite work surfaces.

Available Ceramic Spacer Sizes
What size should you pick? Choose the spacer height that gives your setup the most useful air gap while still fitting comfortably inside your grill or rack system. It is common for kamado owners to keep multiple spacer sets on hand for different grills, cooking setups, or outdoor work surfaces.
For Large and XL kamados, our 2-inch spacer is the most popular and versatile option. The 5/8-inch and 1-inch sizes are better choices when clearance is tight or for use on table, kitchen, or outdoor work surfaces.
The 5/8-inch and 1-inch spacers can be double stacked for additional height, but use care if you need to move the setup after stacking.
| Spacer Height | Length | Width |
|---|---|---|
| 5/8" spacer | 1.50" | 1.50" |
| 1" spacer | 1.50" | 1.50" |
| 2" spacer | 1.50" | 1.50" |
The 1" and 2" spacers can be used on their 1.5" side for added flexibility. Use care when using the 1" spacer on its side and do not double stack them.

The CGS Recommendation
Ceramic spacers are one of those small accessories you will use more often than expected. Whether you are raising a pizza stone, protecting a drip pan, creating an air gap above a deflector, or setting hot parts on an outdoor table, they are an inexpensive and reliable way to control spacing and reduce scorching.
