Add a Sliding Second Cooking Level to Your Joe Jr
The CGS Sliding Second Grid System turns your Joe Jr into a compact two-level cooking machine. This bundle includes the Extender and the 10" Sliding Grid, giving you an upper cooking surface that easily slides back for quick access to the main grid.
Whether you're grilling burgers and vegetables at the same time or managing indirect cooks, the sliding upper grid adds flexibility without crowding your grill.
Important: This system requires the CGS Joe Jr Expander. The Extender uses the Expander handles to stay securely positioned.
How the Sliding Grid System Works
- The Extender: Adds approximately 3 inches of vertical clearance above the main cooking grid. The base ring slips over the CGS Expander handles to keep the system in position.
- The 10" Sliding Grid: Fabricated from durable 304 stainless steel, this upper grid slides smoothly forward and back for easy access to food on the lower cooking grate.
When pushed back, the sliding grid hooks securely in place to maintain stability during cooking.
Why Add a Second Cooking Level?
- Cook more food at once without crowding the main grid.
- Separate foods by temperature using the upper and lower levels.
- Improve airflow by spacing food vertically.
- Easily access the main grid by sliding the upper rack back.
This setup is ideal for grilling, roasting, or holding finished food while other items finish cooking below.
