The XL and 2XL Big Green Egg Fire Bowls include a removable charcoal divider for additional control over charcoal placement. The divider allows you to concentrate charcoal on one side of the fire bowl rather than spreading it across the entire bottom of the grill.

This is especially useful when building smaller fires or arranging the charcoal for two-zone cooking. By keeping the fuel concentrated where needed, you can better manage charcoal usage for different cooking setups.
