Use a divider to create two-zone setups, run smaller fires, and stretch your lump charcoal further.

Divider Benefits:

  • Create dual temperature cooking zones inside your Kick Ash Basket.
  • Partition lump charcoal from approximately 1/3 to 2/3 of the basket.
  • Fabricated from heavy-duty 1/4" 304 stainless round bar.
  • Save lump — burn only what you need.

We manufacture all CGS Dividers in-house from solid 1/4" 304 stainless round bar for strength and durability. The spacing between rods is 1/2", and overall height is approximately 5-1/2". Built to handle high-heat charcoal cooks without warping or flexing.

Quick to Add:

Installation takes seconds. Simply slip the divider’s two short legs under one of the basket’s bottom rods. The legs hook beneath a crosswire to hold the divider securely upright using simple pressure — no hardware required.

Unlike most fixed dividers, you have flexibility in placement. Position it down the center or move it toward one side for a lopsided division. On most baskets, a 1/3 – 2/3 split provides the most practical heat control.
