The Spider is a great way to add a platform inside the fire ring. The Spider can hold a wok, grid or stone. Flipped up, the Spider can hold a wok or elevate the Medium Cast Iron Grid for easier food handling.
The 3 Leg Spider can sit atop the ConveGGtor to push a pizza stone higher in the dome. Or, use the either Spider to hold a hot item off your outdoor table.
To confirm which Spider fits your Medium EGG, you need to check your grill's fire ring and take a measurement prior to ordering.
3 Leg Spider:
Confirm the fire ring has the 3 notches for the ConvEGGtor® (platesetter), and the fire ring's inside diameter is approximately 13.375" across the top.
The Medium 3 Leg BGE Spider can hold 8-12.25 inch diameter objects. It drops 1.125 to 1.75 inches into the fire ring, depending if placed in/out of the ConveGGtor® notches.
5 Leg Spider:
Confirm the fire ring has 5 shallow dimples on top, and the fire ring's inside diameter is approximately 12.375" across the top.
The Medium 5 Leg BGE Spider can hold 8-11 inch diameter objects. It drops 1.125 inches into the fire ring.
The Spiders are fabricated using 1/4 inch Stainless round bar. The legs are TIG welded to the ring for increased durability. The ring's outside diameter is approximately 8-1/2 inches.
