Cooking Grids & Charcoal Grates

Replace worn or damaged cooking grids with genuine Primo stainless steel replacement grids. The XXL Oval uses two D-shaped cooking grids, allowing individual grid replacement when needed.

The cast iron charcoal grate sits inside the firebox and supports the charcoal while allowing ash to fall into the lower portion of the grill.

Gaskets & Airflow Components

Replacement gaskets help maintain the seal between the dome and base, supporting consistent temperature control during low-and-slow cooking.

Airflow components, including the upper damper and lower draft door, allow you to regulate combustion and cooking temperatures. Worn or damaged components can affect how easily your Primo responds to vent adjustments.

Heat Deflectors & Cooking Accessories

Primo heat deflectors and supporting racks create the indirect cooking setup used for smoking, roasting, and low-temperature barbeque. Other useful accessories include ash tools, charcoal management accessories, and replacement cooking hardware.

Ceramic Replacement Parts & Local Pickup

Large Primo XXL Oval ceramic components require special consideration because of their size, weight, and fragile construction.

We can help source replacement ceramic bases, domes, fireboxes, and related components through our Primo distributors. Some parts require the grill's approximate purchase date or serial number to confirm fitment.

How We Source Primo Parts

We maintain direct access to Primo distributor inventory and make weekly trips to our distributors. This allows us to source many replacement components quickly, even when they aren't listed on our website.

If you're in Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton, Frisco, Plano, or elsewhere in North Texas, call us before making the trip. We can check availability and help confirm the correct part for your specific Primo Oval.

Finding Your Primo Serial Number

The Primo serial number sticker is located on the backside of the grill hinge. If you're replacing a dome, base, band assembly, or another model-specific component, having the serial number and approximate purchase date available can help us identify the proper replacement.

Updated Replacement Parts for Older Primo XXL Grills

Primo has updated certain components over the years. If you own an older XXL Oval (500), the current replacement part may look different from the original while serving the same function.

• Cooking Grids: Current heavy-duty stainless steel grids provide durable replacement cooking surfaces.
• Top Damper: The updated cast iron damper provides adjustable airflow control.
• Dome Thermometer: Current thermometers feature a larger, easy-to-read face with a threaded stem and locking nut.
• Replacement Gasket: Updated high-temperature gasket material helps maintain a dependable seal between the dome and base.

If your original component looks different from the current replacement, contact us before ordering. We can help determine whether the updated part is compatible with your grill.

Confirm Your Primo Oval Grill Size Before Ordering

Primo has used different model numbers and size names over the years. The XXL Oval was also identified as the Primo 500, while other Oval models include the Junior, Large, and XL.

Ordering the correct replacement parts begins with identifying your grill size. If you're uncertain which Primo Oval you own, our guide shows how to use the cooking grid's straight-edge measurement to determine your model.
