Can’t say enough good things about the ceramic grill store. I’ve ordered other products from them in the past, which are still holding up very well. I own a bge mini max which sometimes it’s hard to find products for such as a half deflector plate, keep up the good work, I will always look to the ceramic grill store for my bbq accessory’s they make products better than anyone else does
They sell top quality stuff made in America. Shipping and packing is quick and well done. They are my “go to“ for BBQ.

Very easy to clean and care for, completely covers the entire cooking surface underneath the grill so there are no worries about rogue drips getting on the stones or in the coal bed. A+
Ceramic Grill Store needs to advertise this accessory better because I vastly prefer it over moving around half moon grates on my Kamado Joe and the grate spacing is wider making it better for direct flame cooking (like searing).
The best part is you still get lots of advantages using the divide and conquer with it.
I will be using these for heat deflectors and pizza stones. And a good price.
This was a great accessory for my Kamado Joe. It gave me so much more grill space. I would recommend this addition.
I do low and slow indirect cooks almost exclusively on my KJ BJ III. Fan of double indirect, sometimes with the slo-roller – sometimes not. And depending on the cook, I get desirable results with an added water pan.
The challenge has been - how do I stack all that up when it is game on and I am trying to balance heat deflectors on the charcoal basket tabs while the blazing hot coals are engulfing my hands? The pros on the internet aren’t fazed, but I freak and give up for fear of dropping and cracking the heat deflectors – while melting my gloves.
CGS hook leg spider to the rescue. I bought CGS 16 inch heat deflectors to go with it. Immediate ear-to-ear smile on my face from the first time I used it. Easy to quickly drop the spider on the bottom rung of the divide-and-conquer rack as I used it, or onto the charcoal basket. Then it is no challenge to place the heat deflectors on to the spider ring – mission accomplished and hands out of the direct fire very quickly. On to completing the accessories / cooking grid setup and bringing the KJ up to stable cooking temperature.
This opens several new options for cook setups. As I’ve contemplated and executed different cooking tasks / methods, I wished I had an extra accessory rack. The CGS spider gives me that. I’ve wanted to add a water pan under the slo-roller for a long cook. I can do that with the CGS hook leg spider. A 14 inch drip pan drops right into the ring. With the CGS spider and heat deflectors, I can execute double indirect without the slo-roller – so if I plan to raise the temperature above the 300 degree max recommendation for the slo-roller to finish a cook at higher heat, I am covered without having to modify the setup during the cook.
This purchase was a big win for me.

I am very pleased as to how easy it was to install my new gasket for my Grilla Kong Kamado Grill. I was however, disappointed when I added a box of food grade black gloves. The shipping for the gasket was free which I greatly appreciated along with my military discount. It turned out that the shipping for the gloves was more than the cost of the gloves. 🤔I couldn't see paying over $20 for gloves that cost under $10. Anyway, I am satisfied with my purchase. I recently purchased the expander for my Kamado Joe Big Joe. I used it this last weekend to smoke 4 racks of full pork spare ribs. These weren’t trimmed down to St Louis cut. I was very happy with the results. I had worried that the height would cause a large difference in grate temperatures. That was not the case at all. All 4 racks were probe tender at about 5 hours with no noticeable difference in color or moisture content. The flip up front grate worked well for reaching the rear rack on the lower level. I look forward to seeing what affect raising the pizza stone that high into the dome is going to have on pizzas. This is a well made, very functional BBQ tool to add to your collection of things that really work.

Whether I'm looking for accessories or maintenance items I always hit the CGS site - they always have quality parts and items and prices are always fair. This purchase was for upgrading the hinge and band assembly and a new gasket - was shipped promptly so I had it ready for a Sat repair and Sunday usage. Nice that they put it together as a kit so if you're tool kit at home is minimal they have you covered!

Best specs imo for an expander across multiple options, but the build quality is meh. Half grill that connects does not sit flush and clunk/clank when placing things on. Sure, it’s just an annoyance, but for a $100+ accessory from a “cottage” company, I would expect better. When informing the company upon receiving the item, I was told to just make do. If I had known I would get Chinese type qc, I would have taken a chance on Amazon items and can free return.
On rare occasion, UPS will mishandle our boxes. We asked that you try a simple one minute fix to realign the expander's top ring so the grid will sit flat, before sending out a replacement. It's unfortunate you would not try the simple repair, as it's the easiest and quickest way to resolve your issue. CGS Team
I ordered the replacement hinge kit, and when reminded that when replacing the hinge that its an ideal time to replace the gasket, ordered that too! The items arrived in a reasonable time and well packaged.
I have to say, I was impressed. The thought that went in to supplying you with everything you need to replace the hinge AND the gasket was incredible. Parts, tools, extra razor blades, you needed it it was in the kit!! Well done!! I HIGHLY recommend this store!!
