Works well with the woo ring, for setting up an indirect side when grilling on the junior.
I love it for browning sausages or whatever over open flame, then moving them over the half moon to finish. Or, roast a few veggies on the side while direct firing the main course. Great option.
Thank you for supporting the Kamado Joe Junior, which is a fantastic cooker just needs a few accessories :)
I bought the ceramic spacers for an old medium big green egg that had a broken fire ring. the new one was too big and needed clearance and the spacers allowed it to fit. They were perfect for what I needed.
The Spider 2.0 is an excellent addition to the Egg. It is a simple way to create a lower grid for searing. When combined with the Adjustable Rig, the duo creates the ultimate reverse sear setup.
Was a little worried about buying the Cuna cart before ever seeing one, but I am so glad I did.
There's not much info online on these.
Heavy duty quality construction with top-notch finish.
It was so nice to see each individual part protected during shipping.
I have ordered quite a few items in the past from the CGS and have never been disappointed.
Great communication during the purchasing process, they have always been there to answer any questions after the sale as well.
Cart is working great!!
Thanks for a reliable place to shop online.
Smokeware stainless steel chimney cap works great & was easy to install on my KJ Big Joe 3. Worked perfectly fo overnight pork shoulder cook!
Works great, helps with cleaning ash. I have one for my large and XL BGEs. Grap, dump, replace.
Packaged well. Arrived without chips or cracks. Plan is to replace the BGE platesetter. Fits well into my XL Woo. Also plan to use it as a large pizza stone. Good value compared to others.
I recently purchased the CGS Expander for my large BGE. I almost purchased the BGE system, and glad I didn’t. The CGS Expander system is really heavy gauge stainless steel material , and fit perfectly. I’m enjoying cooking at the felt line and having the second level for additional food! Thank you CGS for your pre-purchase help and top quality products!!!
Fits perfectly in my Kamado Joe Big Joe 3. Huge improvement over standard KJ ash catcher. Easy clean up. Ceramic Grill Store service was fantastic!
The Woo system with the half moon deflectors, drip pan, and sliding second grid are working out great. I've used a platesetter/conveggtor for 10 years and the half moons with the Woo are a definite upgrade. It's easier to get in and out and makes for better smoking/indirect cooking because there are no notches where things burn. Temperature is still consistent, air flow great, and the flexibility to do 2-zone cooking has been useful too. I've also been able to put extra items to smoke/roast on the second level. Went with this setup over the adjustable rig for simplicity, although that would've given even more options, this has been plenty.
The woo ring is so much more convenient. If you have to get to the fire, or just for cleaning you can lift everything out - deflectors and all - with little handles. Way better than stock design, less messy too. I have the 2nd level kit, very nice setup without getting in the way of the main grill.
Excellent craftsmanship. I would highly recommend this cooking grid for your Big Green Egg cooking needs. A++
I recently purchased the CGS Chariot for my XL Big Green Egg. I purchased some 2 x 4's to complete the build and (mostly) used the directions from the YouTube link.
The kit arrives with two wood pieces cut to conform to the diameter of your kamado grill (XL BGE, in my case), along with long threaded rods, nuts and washers. It also came with all the screws, drills and a bit driver for the build.
I'm happy with the product, but knocked off one star for the quality and choice of screws and the spade drill bit. The screws and driver bit are Phillips #2. Driving long (3-inch, if I recall correctly) screws through wood with a Phillips head bit can be problematic, especially with a screw gun, which has an impact motion. And, yes, i drilled pilot holes through the 2 x 4 first. I managed to shear one of the screws and had to replace it with a torx drive screw I had from a decking project. Torx drive or even #2 square drive would have been better choices for the screws.
The second minor complaint was with the 3/4" spade bit. True, you only need to drill four holes with it, but by the fourth hole, the bit had lost temper due to heat and it bent. I was able to (mostly) straighten it and finish the job, but others may not be so lucky.
Overall a good product and a simple, useful solution to safely moving my ceramic grill.
Ceramic Grill Store was very prompt on shipping my Kick Ash equipment. Items received were exactly as described. Haven’t cooked on my BGE yet but it will happen any day now.
I used to always use the Black bag of Fogo. I like this coal better as I think it burns better and seems to last longer
As advertised. I ended up just replacing the sliding components (screen and door) versus taking the entire metal housing off. Parts feel high quality and fit well.
Works exactly as you'd expect. Only issue is it's too large to fit into my sink to clean.
I’m in Ohio. But I buy from Ceramic Grill Store because they help out with all my questions.
