Add More Capability to Your Medium Big Green Egg

The CGS Medium Woo is purpose-built for the Medium Big Green Egg, raising your cooking grid to the felt line for easier access, better heat control, and versatile multi-level setups.

Pair the Woo with CGS 14" half-moon deflectors for indirect smoking and two-zone grilling. Using these larger deflectors allows for maximum indirect protection for low & slow and two-zone cooks.

Note: Designed specifically for the Medium Big Green Egg.

Recommended setup: CGS Medium Woo, 14" half-moon deflectors, 0.625" spacers, and 14" stainless drip pan. Add the Sliding Second Grid Bundle for significantly more cooking space.

Before You Order – Medium Woo Fit Check

  • Requires the current 16" Medium Big Green Egg cooking grid (15.75" actual diameter). Older 15" grids must be upgraded.
  • Choose the correct Woo style for your fire ring:
    • 3-Leg Woo: Fits smooth fire rings or ConvEGGtor-notch fire rings
    • 5-Leg Woo: Fits older fire rings with 5 dimples

Wider Indirect Protection for BBQ Cooks

Pair the Medium Woo with CGS 14" half-moon deflectors to create an indirect setup with broader heat coverage than the stock Medium ConvEGGtor.

  • Optimized airflow: Although larger than the ConvEGGtor, the 14" deflectors allow better airflow because they sit above the fire ring.
  • Cleaner cooks: Catch drippings cleanly by adding a 14" drip pan directly on top of the deflectors

Two-Zone Cooking Made Easy

Insert a single 14" half-moon deflector to instantly create dual heat zones—direct heat on one side for searing, and indirect heat on the other for slow cooking, finishing, or holding food warm.

Add a Second Cooking Level

Need more capacity? Pair the Medium Woo with the CGS Sliding Second Grid Bundle. The system consists of two main components: an Extender (vertical riser frame) and a Sliding Top Grid.

To install the Extender, slide its lower ring over the Woo's handles so it rests directly on the lower cooking grid.

The top grid slides back smoothly, making it easy to access food on the lower level without removing any hardware.

Medium Woo Compatibility Notes

  • Designed for current 16" Medium Big Green Egg cooking grids (15.75" actual diameter)
  • Older 15" cooking grids require an upgrade to fit properly
  • ConvEGGtor is not compatible with the Woo.
  • Egg's medium cast iron grid is not compatible with the Woo.
  • Fully compatible with Kick Ash Basket and standard Egg charcoal baskets
  • Works with 12" round-bottom woks

Tip: Cast iron grates perform best close to the hot coals, so elevating cast iron on the Woo is not recommended.
