We offer Primo brand deflector plates and our own, Ceramic Grill Store (CGS), deflector plates. Both deflector plates are "D" shape and same thickness. CGS Plates provide a bit more coverage as they have longer straight sides and sharper corners.

Primo deflector plates come two (pair) in a box. CGS plates come as a single or pair.
The deflector plates block the heat as it rises from the fire. In ceramic grill circles, this is called an indirect set-up and is key to smoking barbeque or creating dual zones when grilling.
When smoking low & slow barbeque, you need to use two plates. If you want to grill and create two temperature zones, a fire side and non-fire side, you use one plate over the non-fire side.

Deflector racks are required, as they hold the plates under the cooking grids. Each plate needs a deflector rack. The rack hangs down inside the fire bowl. The process is simple: set the rack, set the deflector plate on the rack and add the cooking grid, usually in up an position.
We offer Primo and Ceramic Grill Store deflector racks. CGS racks provide more flexibility to access the lump and have the ability to hold a wok. We can offer Plates and Racks at better prices because of our volumes. We pass the savings on to you.
