Keep your cooks dialed in with the official 3-inch Big Green Egg Dome Thermometer. This USA-made, stainless steel temperature gauge gives fast, reliable readings up to 750°F and fits all popular EGG sizes from MiniMax to 2XL.

Gauge Installation
- Insert the stem from the outside of the dome through the small vent hole. Keep the silicone washer on the outside of the dome.
- Reach inside the dome and slide the retaining clip onto the stem. Squeeze the clip lightly so it moves smoothly.
- Slide the clip up the stem until the silicone washer sits snug against the dome.
Pro Tip for Easy Reading
Rotate the dial so your target temperature sits at the 12 o’clock position. Now you can quickly check temps at a glance—arrow left = cooler than target; arrow right = hotter than target.
Gauge Calibration
This thermometer is factory calibrated. To verify or adjust for altitude:
- Bring a container of water to a boil.
- Place the lower portion of the stem (past the groove) into the water for at least one minute without touching the container.
- At sea level, it should read 212°F / 100°C. Boiling point decreases ~2°F per 1,000 ft. elevation.
- If needed, carefully adjust the hex nut beneath the dial to recalibrate.
Safety Notes
- Do not adjust a hot thermometer with bare hands.
- Avoid touching the stem during boiling-water testing.
- Probe tip is sharp—keep away from children.
