Product Description
Preferred grid choice for setting up with a half-moon grid atop select CGS Adjustable Rigs.
Compatibility:
The 20 Half-Moon grid fits the top ring on the Adjustable Rig for these grills:
- XL Big Green EGG,
- Pit Boss 24,
- Kamado Joe Big Joe
How to Use:
Set the grid atop the Rig and to the backside of the grill. Here the grid will be out of your way and allows quick access to whatever you have going on below.
The most common set-up is with 1-1/2 grid set-ups. The 20 Half-Moon is a wonderful staging area above when grilling/searing on a lower grid. It also works great as a holding or veggie grid during the cook.

How about an indirect set-up for the reverse sear
Add the Half-Stone Hanger and 18" Half-Moon Deflector and you can create an indirect set-up with the 20 Half-Moon grid. It's an ideal way to do the first phase (slow roast) on the reverse sear method. See upper left picture. Pair with the XL Woo or Spider for increased accessibility to the lower searing grid.
Specs:
Offers the same design and fabrication standards as our 20" Full Round Stainless Grid. Has an electro-polish finish for improved durability and surface performance. The EPQ wire and finish make it easier to clean the grid after each cook.
Actual grid size is 10" x 20".
