Actual Grill diameter is 15.75".

Same size as Big Green EGG's Medium cooking grid. If you have the original 15" EGG grid, you'll need to upgrade to this grid to use on the CGS Medium Expander or current Big Green EGG Medium ConvEGGtor.

Too large for the earliest Big Green Egg

The Woo fits perfectly but my new cooking grid is too large for the 1970’s Egg.
15.75” is too large to drop onto the Woo. I had to cut the outer ring and file the steel down to fit the unit.
I was surprised how hard stainless steel is! Wow! Hatted to cut the steel butcher no choice.
Not an easy task. You can see from the photo what I cut. I have not filed the steel enough to fit when I took this photo but after a solid grinding it finallly slid in and is supported by the Woo.
Now I’m looking forward to getting smoking!
