Kick Ash Cans for Kamado Joe Grills

The Kick Ash Can sits in the bottom of your Kamado Joe. In order to use the Can, you'll need to:

  • remove the lump grate that came with your Kamado Joe. 
  • remove the sliding ash tray assembly in Classic and Big Joe grills.
  • Use a Kick Ash or Kamado Joe Ash Basket.

How to Use: Place the Can in the bottom of your Kamado Joe. After each cook, shake the ash out of the basket, let it fall into the Can, remove the Can, dispose of the ash into a nonflammable container and return the Can to the Kamado Joe. Put the Basket back and you are ready to go.

Important: To use the Can in Classic and Big Joe grills, you need to remove the sliding ash tray. In doing so, you are removing, eliminating, the face plate that affects airflow and minimizes the possibility for embers to blow out the open vent.  See picture:

    This Kick Ash Can really is nice for cleaning up and getting ready for the next round of cooking! Well made and easy to dump the old ash.

    Way easier to keep the ash part of the grill clean, it catches all the ash and if any falls under it is super easy to brush out.. A lot of ash will fall under the default ash catcher that comes with the kamado joe big joe and to clean it the whole fire box and ash ring needs to be removed.

    Makes a dirty job easy. Instead of a furry of gray ash dying around, it’s just grab, remove and dump elsewhere. Nice, neat & clean. Works great with the Kick Ash Basket.

    Fits Like A Glove!

    So glad I don't have to try scooping out the ash from the vent. Using this in concert with a charcoal basket takes the mess out of the cooking!
